PRAKSIS ... for your fellow man.
The application was created to promote PRAKSIS ' work and to directly link the organization with the volunteers, supporters and people of the media.
PRAKSIS (Programs for Development, Social Support and Medical Cooperation) is an independent non -governmental organization aimed at the creation, implementation and implementation of humanitarian and medical action programs.
PRAKSIS is active throughout Greece and mainly in the two major urban centers of Athens and Thessaloniki, on the island of Lesvos and Patras. At the same time PRAKSIS volunteers are located in various parts of Greece.
Our main goal is to tackle the social and economic exclusion of vulnerable groups and to defend their individual and social rights.
PRAKSIS programs are not considered "starting from scratch" as it is "the next day" of programs that have been operating since November 1996 (under the then borders of doctors). The programs in the two polyps in Athens and Thessaloniki have been offering services to vulnerable groups for 17 years.
The philosophy of our action is:
- Free providing social and medical services in the areas of treatment, prevention, education, health infrastructure, etc. regardless of color, race, religion, age, ethnicity, ideology, political beliefs, sexual orientation and gender identity.
- Promoting solidarity and volunteering with continuous training of volunteers in dealing with social and economic exclusion.
- The testimony (which also includes the complaint) of the state of social groups at risk and corruption or in general of injustice found by our action in Greek and international politicians, economic and social organizations as well as before all principles, in Greek and world public opinion.
